WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior wide receiver Justin Candon (Rutland, Vt.) was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference Football All-Conference Team on Thursday.
Candon was one of three wide receivers named to the second team.
Candon put up fine numbers for the Mules (2-6). He was second in the conference in receptions per game (5.50) and fifth in yards per game (58.5). Candon caught 44 balls for 468 yards and five touchdowns, including 26 catches in the final three games of the season.
Candon was named the NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week after helping the Mules to an upset win over Tufts University on November 3. He had nine catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Jumbos. Candon also had 147 receiving yards on nine catches and two touchdowns in a win over Bates.
Candon finished his career at Colby with 62 catches for 659 yards. He had 17 grabs for 171 yards during his junior season.
