WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior Wyatt Fereday (Boise, Idaho) was honored as the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) Men's Nordic Skier of the Week after a solid run at the Middlebury College Carnival on Friday.

Fereday had his best finish of the season in taking third place in the men's 10-kilometer free technique competition on Friday. He finished with a time of 24 minutes, 58.3 seconds to collect 44 points for the Mules. University of Vermont and Dartmouth College skiers were the only racers honored so far this year until Friday. Fereday finished behind Dartmouth's Eric Packer (24:37.4) and Nils Koons (24:40.0).

Fereday has had success at Middlebury's facilities in the past. He was second in the 20K freestyle and eighth in the 10K classic at last year's Eastern Championships at Middlebury.

Fereday has competed at the NCAA Skiing Championships in two of his first three years at Colby.
