Camels defeat Colby in field hockey

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Colby College field hockey team held Connecticut College to just seven shots, but the Camels scored twice in a 2-0 win over the Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday.

Conn College goaltender Jamie Sheahan was credited with 12 saves, including nine in the second half for the shutout. Jamie Enos had five stops for Colby (4-9, 1-7 NESCAC).

The Camels (6-6, 2-5) got goals from Jennifer Wallace and Jill Mauer.

Colby will finish the season next Saturday at home against Bates College at 11 a.m.
