WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- For the second straight day, the Colby College field hockey team battled hard and fell in overtime after losing 3-2 in extra time to Williams College on Sunday.
The Mules (2-7, 0-6 NESCAC) have lost three of their league games in overtime this season. Colby fell to Wesleyan on Saturday. Charlotte VanWagenen scored unassisted seven minutes into overtime for Williams (7-3, 4-2). Colby's Mary Clare Snediker scored on a penalty stroke with 6:29 left in regulation to send the game to overtime. Williams took a 2-1 lead at halftime on goals by Jess Overlander and Cary Bearn. Overlander scored 2:15 into the game, but Colby tied the game at 1-1 when Amy Campbell tallied off a pass from Chelsea Rosenheimer. Jamie Enos, a day after making 20 stops against Wesleyan, made seven saves for Colby.
