Field hockey falls in league game

BRUNSWICK, Maine --- Courtney Erskine scored her fourth goal of the season for the Colby College field hockey team, but Bowdoin College scored the only three goals of the second half on the way to a 5-1 win in NESCAC field hockey Wednesday night.

The Polar Bears (7-2 overall, 3-2 NESCAC) had scored at 15:16 on the first of two goals by Katie Herter. McKenna Teague added the Polar Bears' second goal at 30:19.

With just 29 seconds to halftime, Eriskine made it a 2-1 lead at halftime with her unassisted goal for Colby (4-4, 1-4).

Herter had a goal and assist in the second half for the Polar Bears.
