BANGOR, Maine --- After scoring on two penalty corners against 12th-ranked Trinity College on Saturday, the Colby College field hockey team added two more goals off corners in taking a 2-1 non-conference victory over Husson University on Tuesday night. The Mules (1-1 overall), who have had problems winning road games in the past few years, get a key victory after falling 4-3 in a tough overtime loss to Trinity at home Saturday. Colby plays another road game at Wesleyan University at 11 a.m. Saturday. The two teams battled to a 1-1 halftime tie before Meryl Poulin tallied with 15:09 to play in the game off an assist from co-captain Meghan Saccone. Poulin, a junior, is up to 35 career points after also earning an assist on the first goal. Saccone, Colby's sweeper, had never scored a point in her collegiate career and now has two assists in two games. Husson (0-1), though, battled back and tied the game on Courtney Allen's unassisted goal at 21:33 of the first half.
