Golf team wins dual meet from UMF

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Jack Peet (Chadd's Ford, Pa.) led a group of four Colby College golfers who finished in places two to five as the Mules took a dual meet win over University of Maine at Farmington on Thursday at Waterville Country Club.

The Mules won 425-443 by stroke score and 23-11 by modified scoring (plus-3 eagle, plus-2 birdie, plus-1 par, 0 double bogey, minus-1 double bogey).

Maine-Farmington's Brandon Poulin (Gorham, Maine) took medalist honors with a 79.

The Mules, though, had the next four places and were led by Peet's 81. Connor Tubridy (Pomfret, Conn.) and Matt Wahl (Ann Arbor, Mich.) both carded an 84, while Sam Rouleau had an 87. UMF's Kyle Feltis (Presque Isle, Maine) took sixth with an 88 and Colby's Andrew Herchek (Concord, Mass.) had an 89 for seventh place.
