Noering leads golf team at UMF tourney

BELGRADE, Maine --- Hans Noering finished in a tie for 10th place with an 81 for the Colby College golf team at the University of Maine at Farmington Invitational at Belgrade Country Club on Wednesday.

Noering shot a 39 on the front nine and closed with a 42 on the back nine. Sam Rouleau added an 85 with a 38 on the back nine, while captain John Wagner carded an 89.

Colby will play in the Maine State Tournament at Natanis on Friday and Saturday. The Mules close the weekend with the Colby Classic at the Waterville Country Club on Sunday at noon.
