VASSALBORO, Maine --- The Colby College golf team stands in third place out of 11 teams after the opening day of the Maine Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Natanis Golf Course on Friday.

 The Mules have a 331 score and trail only Husson (314) and Bowdoin (329). The tourney concludes Saturday with the second round.

Hans Noering had a 77 and Tripp Huber added an 81 for Colby. Harry Smith carded an 86 for the Mules.
