WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Katie McCabe (Taft School/Watertown, Conn.) was one of 16 players named to the D3hoops.com Northeast Women's Basketball All-Region Team on Wednesday.
McCabe, who was named to the third team, was one of five New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) players selected to the three teams. McCabe had earlier earned second team honors from the NESCAC. The All-Region teams were voted on by Sports Information Directors from the region's colleges.
McCabe was tied for second in the NESCAC in scoring (15.3) and was second in rebounding (9.5). She also led the Mules in field goal percentage (.455), steals (28 total), and was second in assists (47).
McCabe, who was a three-time All-NESCAC selection in soccer, had also earned first team honors from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association. She was first among Maine players in scoring and rebounding.
McCabe ranked fifth all-time in scoring at Colby with 1,241 points and added 729 rebounds for the Mules (9-16).
