WATERVILLE, Maine --- For the second week in a row, Colby College’s Brianna Kondrat (Eaton, N.H.) was honored as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women’s Field Performer of the Week for outdoor track and field.

Kondrat had two victories and another personal best in the hammer throw as the Mules hosted the first-ever track and field meet at the new Harold Alfond Stadium. She scored 18 total points to help the Mules finish with 154 points to beat Bates College (105 points) and narrowly lose to a strong MIT (161) squad.

Kondrat had a throw of 160-05 in winning the hammer throw by 26 feet. She has improved her throw by about 10 feet over the past three weeks and is closing in on the 14-year-old school record of Brooke Larenzen ’95, who had a toss of 163-5 in the 1995 season.

Kondrat also won the discus throw (123-10) and took third place in the shot put (36-6.75). She earned NESCAC honors a week ago after a meet at Fitchburg State.
