WATERVILLE, Maine --- Brianna Kondrat (Eaton, N.H.) earned the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women’s Field Performer of the Week for the third time in four weeks and the Colby College women’s outdoor track and field team had an athlete honored for the fourth straight week.

Kondrat broke a 14-year-old school record in winning the hammer throw at the NESCAC championship meet last Saturday at Connecticut College. She had a throw of 167-01 to win the title by about 20 feet over runner-up Julia Feltus (147-10) of Tufts University. Kondrat’s throw broke the old Colby record of 163-5 set by Brooke Larenzen ’95 in 1995. Kondrat also placed fourth in the discus (118-0) and seventh in the shot put (37-5.75).

Kondrat had earned the NESCAC honor for two straight weeks after continually seeing her hammer throws increase in distance over the past month. Colby teammate Danielle Sheppard, who also won a NESCAC title in the high jump, was given the league honor last week.
