GREENCASTLE, Ind. --- Colby College junior Emma Linhard (Brunswick, Maine) heads into the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships at DePauw University running her best after winning the ECAC Division III Championships title in the mile last weekend. Linhard comes into the meet seeded fourth out of the 13 entrants, with the top eight finishers earning All-American honors. The women's mile run preliminary race takes place Friday at 4:20 p.m. and the final is set for Saturday at 2:10 p.m. Linhard had her best time of the season with a 4:55.88 clocking in winning the mile at the ECAC meet last Saturday. Bethel (Minn.) University's Marie Borner has the best time this season at 4:49.53 and is followed by Lauren Reich (4:53.81) of DePauw and Laura Paulsen (4:54.80) of Johns Hopkins. In last year's NCAA indoor meet, Linhard placed sixth in the mile to earn her second career All-American honor. She had a time of 5:00.44 and the winning time was 4:54.66.
