Linhard sixth in mile at NCAA indoor meet

GREENCASTLE, Ind. --- Colby College's Emma Linhard (Brunswick, Maine) finished in sixth place in the women's mile for the second straight year at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at DePauw University.

Linhard earned her third career All-American honor for placing in the top eight with a time of 5 minutes, 2.47 seconds. Linhard had qualified for the championship final with a time of 5:01.91 in a preliminary race on Friday. Linhard's best time this season was a winning clocking of 4:55.88 at the ECAC meet.

Bethel (Minn.) University's Marie Borner won the national title with a 4:50.20 finish.
