Men's basketball falls in league game

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College men's basketball team had four players in double figures, but Bowdoin College darted out to a 33-21 halftime lead on the way to a 70-60 victory over the Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday night.

Andrew Hippert led Bowdoin (18-4, 5-2 NESCAC) with 18 points.

Colby (11-11, 1-6) received 13 points from Artie Curtone. Mark Gaudet, Mac Simpson, and Adam Choice all had 10 points.

Colby got Bowdoin's lead down to six points in the second half with 5:27 to go, but the Polar Bears responded with a 5-0 run to seal the win.
