Men run to PR marks at Open NE meet

BOSTON, Mass. --- The Colby College men's cross country team rested the top seven runners at Saturday's Open New England Championships, but the seven runners competing in the sub-varsity race all had personal records.

Chris Halladay, in his first race back from shoulder surgery, finished in a time of 27 minutes, 58 seconds in taking 27 seconds off his personal record to finish 110th. Meanwhile, Kevin Clarke (168th) and Alexander Baier (173rd) both went under 30 minutes for the first time, with Clarke 76 seconds under his PR and Baier improving by 69 seconds.

Julio Suastegui (175th) just missed breaking 30 seconds with a 30:02, yet still set a PR by 75 seconds. Nick Papanastassiou (180th) had a 30:18 clocking to knock 10 seconds off and Dylan Riessen (184th) was at his best by 1:41 with a 30:40.
