WATERVILLE, Maine --- Ben Grandjean (Waterford, Conn.) made 37 saves to earn the shutout and Greg Osborne (Stoughton, Mass.) and Arthur Fritch (South Boston, Mass.) both had four points to lead the Colby College men's hockey team to a 6-0 victory over 15th-ranked Curry College on Tuesday night at Alfond Rink.
Grandjean earned his 20th career victory for Colby, now 4-3-2 on the season. Curry fell to 7-5 with the loss.
Osborne had three goals and one assist, while Fritch had four assists. Fritch, a junior defensemen, reached 50 career assists.
Osborne scored at 8:44 of the first period off assists from Josh Reber (Edina, Minn.) and Fritch for a 1-0 lead at the break.
The Mules broke the game open with three goals in the second period, including two scores in the opening 2:15 of play. Osborne got his second of the night at 1:23 and T.J. Kelley (Ridgefield, Conn.) tallied at 2:15 for a 3-0 lead. Colby made it 4-0 after two periods when Joe Rothwell (Unionville, Ontario) scored at 13:16.
The Mules added insurance goals in the third period from Osborne at 2:55 and Kelley at 7:11. Reber had one of the assists on Kelley's second goal to reach 60 for his career in three years.
