NEW LONDON, Conn. --- Cody McKinney stopped 30 shots in net for the Colby College men’s hockey team and Dan Nelson had the lone goal as the Mules skated to a 1-1 overtime tie with Connecticut College on Saturday.
McKinney had a duel with Camel goalie Greg Parker, who stopped 34 shots.
Nelson scored on the power play at 16:46 of the second period off assists from Michael Doherty and Matt Strickland. The Mules are 4-8-3 on the season, while the Camels move to 8-5-3.
The Camels scored with just 37 seconds remaining to break McKinney’s shutout. Brett Moore had the goal with assists from Trevor Bradley and Lucas Chavira Schramm.
