BABSON PARK, Mass. --- Cody McKinney stopped 31 shots in goal for the Colby College men's hockey team, but Babson College's Andrew Peabody earned a shutout with 29 stops as the Beavers took a 2-0 win over the Mules in the season opener for both teams Friday night.
Peabody had 13 saves in the opening period, while McKinney kept Colby in the game with 12 stops in the final period.
McKinney kept the game scoreless until Corey Griffin tallied 14:41 into the first period for Babson. Cody Carlson added a goal in the second period for the Beavers.
