WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College men's hockey team scored twice in the first period and received some solid goaltending by Cody McKinney as the Mules pulled off a 2-1 win over the United States Under-18 Team and won the Bowdoin/Colby Face-Off Classic in an exhibition game Sunday at Alfond Rink.
The Mules earned the title after being the only squad with a 2-0 record. Colby took a 3-1 win over Suffolk University on Saturday at Bowdoin. The Polar Bears skated to a 6-2 win against Suffolk in the other game Sunday, but Bowdoin fell 4-1 to the U.S. squad Saturday.

Travis Boyd had the U.S. goal at 10:59 of the second period, but McKinney was up to the task of keeping the national team off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
