Men's hockey ties Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. --- Colby College goaltender Ben Grandjean made 42 saves, including eight in overtime, to help the Mules earn a 1-1 tie with Skidmore College in men's hockey Saturday.

Grandjean made 14 saves in the opening period to help make the score 0-0 at the intermission.

Colby (3-1-1) went ahead 1-0 when senior captain Greg Osborne tallied at 3:20 of the second period off an assist from Joe Rothwell.

Skidmore (4-0-2) tied the game when Matt Czerkowicz scored at 14:08 of the second period.

The Mules will play at University of Southern Maine at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
