HARTFORD, Conn. --- Trinity College scored late in the second period and early in the third and then held on for a 2-1 win against Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference men's hockey Friday night.
Cody McKinney kept Colby (11-8-1, 10-5-1 NESCAC) in the game with 36 saves. John Carter scored at 17:46 of the second period for the Bantams (11-8-2) and Daniel Maturi tallied at 1:37 of the final period to put Trinity up 2-0. Colby fought back quickly when Matt Ahern scored off assists froom Jared Crittenden and Ryan Chrenek at 2:17. However, Trinity and goalie Wesley Vesprini (24 saves) would not allow the tying goal.
