MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --- Arthur Fritch's 30th goal of his career may have been one of his biggest as he scored 3:08 into overtime to lift the Colby College men's hockey team to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Wesleyan University on Saturday.
Fritch got career point 110 (30 goals, 80 assists) when he scored his seventh goal of the season off assists from Joe Rothwell and T.J. Kelley. The assist by Kelley was point number 120 (55 goals, 65 assists) in his career.
Wesleyan (8-10-3) took a 2-0 lead on goals by Ryan Zemel at 12:27 and Todd Keats at 13:55 of the second period.
The Mules (12-8-1, 11-5-1 NESCAC) started the comeback when Kelley picked up his 18th goal of the season on the power play off assists from Rothwell and Karl Burns with 2:37 left in the second period.
First-year player Bobby Sullivan tallied at 8:04 of the third period with assists from Kelley and Fritch.
Colby goalie Cody McKinney was solid again with 30 saves. Meanwhile, Wesleyan goalie Tim Archibald kept his team in the game with 47 stops, including 19 in the third period.
