WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College men's soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the sixth straight year.

Colby has the longest streak of earning the award of any New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's soccer team.

The Mules were the only NESCAC men's soccer team to earn the award for the 2005-06 academic year. Colby, coached by Mark Serdjenian, had a 3.26 team grade point average.

Of the 316 soccer teams honored, 81 squads were men's teams and women had 235 teams honored with the award.  A team had to have a grade point average of 3.0 or better to earn the award.

Colby had a 6-5-3 record in 2006.
