Men's soccer falls to Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK, Maine --- The Colby College men's soccer team had a shot advantage in the opening half and held Bowdoin College scoreless for more than 60 minutes, but the Polar Bears scored three times in a span of about 24 minutes to pull away for a 3-0 win in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Sunday.

The Mules (1-4-1 overall, 0-4 NESCAC) had a 5-3 shot advantage and were tied 3-3 in corner kicks in the scoreless first half. Bowdoin got the game-winning goal unassisted from Michael Gale at 60:58. Carl Woock and Eddie Jones also tallied for the Polar Bears in the final 16 minutes.

Dan Hicks stopped three shots for the Bowdoin shutout, while Dan Marden stopped one shot in the first half and Doug Sibor made three saves in the final 45 minutes for Colby.
