WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College men's tennis team won two of the three doubles matches and sixth singles player Joe Albano (Marston Mills, Mass.) won a three-set match in a 5-4 victory over Connecticut College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday.
Albano took a 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 win at the sixth spot, while teammate Dan Freeman (Big Flats, N.Y.) won in straight sets at second singles for Colby (6-5 overall, 3-3 NESCAC). Freeman also joined forces with Matthew Mantikas for a win at second doubles. Tom Kimball and Phillip Zunshine won at first doubles for the Mules.
Trevor Prophet (Nashua, N.H.) was the first singles winner for Conn College (6-8, 1-6 NESCAC). George King (Concord, Mass.) won in three sets at third singles and Jeff Weisberger (Wayne, N.J.) captured the fourth singles match for the Camels. The third doubles team of Chris Hakusui (Boxford, Mass.) and Henry Friedman (Wynnewood, Pa.) also won.
