WATERVILLE, Maine --- Tom Kimball and Jason Ottomano each won tough matches at the first and second singles spots as the Colby College men's tennis team took a 9-0 win over University of Massachusetts at Boston on Sunday.
Kimball took a 6-3, 4-6, 10-3 (pro-set) victory over Lucas Parrau at first singles, while Ottomano won 6-3, 6-7 (6), 10-7 over Enrique Flores at two.
"Kimball played a discipline match to outlast his opponent," Colby head coach Doanh Wang said. "Ottomano maintained his focus to pull out his match."
Matt Carroll and Jack Bryant won the first doubles match with an 8-3 victory in their first collegiate dual meet match. Ottomano and Matthew Mantikas captured an easy 8-0 win at second doubles, while Luke Martin and Michael Johnsen coasted to an 8-0 victory at third doubles
Than Moore, Mantikas, Bryant, and Carroll also won singles matches for the Mules (1-0).
