Men's tennis earns big win over Grinnell

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Colby College men's team remained unbeaten on the season at 4-0 overall after an impressive 5-4 victory over Grinnell College on Tuesday in Florida.

Grinnell (9-4) was ranked 12th in the ITA Central Region and has made the NCAA tourney the past four years.

Colby was down 2-1 after the doubles matches and were tied 4-4 with Matt Mantikas still playing at sixth singles. He won a 7-6 (7) tiebreaker, lost 6-4 in the second set, and came up big with a 6-3 third set victory to hand Colby the win.

Matt Carroll, Jack Bryant, and Luke Martin all won in straight sets in their singles matches for the Mules. Robbie Yee and Sam Bachelder took the third doubles match by a 9-7 score.
