Men's tennis perfect on Florida trip

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Colby College men's tennis team ended a trip to Florida with a perfect 4-0 record and moved to 5-0 overall this year with a 9-0 win over Division II Augustana College on Thursday.

Colby's six singles players – Jason Ottomano, Than Moore, Matt Carroll, Jack Bryant, Luke Martin, and Matt Mantikas – all won in straight sets for head coach Doanh Wang. The players combined for 11 of the 12 set wins at either 6-0 or 6-1.

Bryant and Carroll had the toughest match of the day at first doubles with a 9-8 (3) victory. Robbie Yee and Sam Bachelder had an easier time of it with an 8-1 win at second doubles, while Martin and Ottomano won 8-3 at the third spot.
