LEWISTON, Maine --- Dominique Kone won the 55-meter dash and took the long jump for the Colby College men's indoor track and field team in a tri-meet with Bates College and MIT on Saturday at the Walter Slovenski Track. Kone had a 6.49 in the prelims for the fastest time of the day. He also had a leap of 22.15 feet in taking the long jump. Trent Wiseman had the other victory for Colby in the men's pole vault with a jump of 14.27 feet. Luke Doherty-Munro was third in the 1,000 meters (2:35.86) and fourth in the 400 dash (54.24), while Dylan Nisky placed third in the 800 meters (2:02.56). John Gilboy added a fifth in the shot put (44.88 feet). The Colby 1,600-meter relay team of James Bowe, Kevin Clarke, Zac Currier, and Brent Daly placed second with a 3:42.43. The Mules placed third with 45 points behind MIT (192) and Bates (116).
