Nordic teams each fourth in mass start

HANOVER, N.H. ---  The Colby College Nordic ski teams each placed fourth overall in the mass start competition at the Dartmouth College Ski Carnival on Saturday.

The Colby women actually placed third among Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) schools with 80 points. Lucy Garrec was seventh in 31:03.4 in the 10-kilometer race and teammate Kathleen Maynard was 11th with a 31:22.2.

The Colby men also received a placing of seventh from Matt Briggs in 38:22.3 over 15K. Wyatt Fereday was ninth, just over four seconds behind Briggs with a 38:26.8. Sam Mathes placed 22nd for the Mules, who had 87 team points.
