MIDDLEBURY, Vt. --- Wyatt Fereday had his top performance of the season for the Colby College men's Nordic ski team as the Mules placed second overall in the 10-kilometer freestyle technique on Friday at the Middlebury College Ski Carnival.

Fereday had a time of 24 minutes, 58.3 seconds to lead four Colby skiers in the top 16. Jake Barton nabbed a top-10 finish by placing 10th in 25:47.0, Levin Zars took 12th with a 26:11.5, and Corey Park finished 16th in 26:44.9.

Dartmouth College, which has been strong all season, won the men's meet with 136 points. Colby finished with 105, Middlebury was third with 101, and University of Vermont had 97 points for fourth place in the 12-team field.

Lizzie Anderson placed 20th in the 10K freestyle technique with a 31:27.4 clocking for the Colby women and Missy Krause finished in 24th at 31:37.1
