Fereday, Garrec lead Nordic at Eastern meet

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. --- Wyatt Fereday finished in eighth place in the 10-kilometer classic for the Colby College men and Lucy Garrec was 12th for the women at the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association Championships (Middlebury Ski Carnival) on Saturday at the Rikert Ski Touring Center.

Fereday finished with a time of 32 minutes, 53.2 seconds to help the men place sixth out of 12 teams. Sam Mathes took 16th place in 33:41.8 and Jake Barton was 26th with a 34:21.7.

Garrec also helped the Colby women place sixth with a time of 19:47.4 over the 5K course. Olga Golovkina took 24th place in 20:14.2.
