Kernan 20th, Centauro 22nd at NCAA slalom

BARRETT, N.H. --- Colby first-year skier Josh Kernan (Mount Washington Valley/Shelburne, N.H.) placed 20th and teammate Jody Centauro (Green Mountain Valley School/Beaconsfield, Quebec) was 22nd in the slalom on the final day of the NCAA Skiing Championships at Attitash on Saturday.

Kernan had runs of 55.39 and 52.21 for a two-run total time of 1:47.60 for the Mules. Centauro, a junior, had a 55.38 and a 52.80 for a finish of 1:48.18. University of Denver's Adam Cole won the title with a 1:43.36.

In the final teams scores (alpine and Nordic combined), Colby placed 16th in the country with 134 points. Dartmouth College won the team title with 698 points to hold off Denver (648) and University of Colorado (592).
