BETHEL, Maine -- Due to harsh weather conditions, the men's and women's giant slalom competition at the NCAA Skiing Championships has been postponed Wednesday and has been rescheduled for the same times Thursday at Sunday River.

The women, with Colby College’s Emily Colin competing, will ski at 9 a.m. on Thursday and go to completion. The men follow at 12:30 p.m., with the Mules’ Vincent Lebrun-Fortin and Josh Kernan both skiing.

Thursday's Nordic events will go on as originally scheduled: the men's 10-kilometer classical race starts at 10 a.m., followed by the women's 5K classical race at noon. Lucy Garrec and Kathleen Maynard will compete in the women’s race for Colby at Black Mountain in Rumford.
