WATERVILLE, Maine --- Barbara Santos had a pair of hits and Lauren Becker allowed just one earned run for the Colby College softball team in a 6-0 loss to Trinity College in New England Small College Athletic Conference East play Friday at Crafts Field.

Kristen Anderson scattered six hits, struck out three, and walked none for the Bantams (15-7 overall, 5-2 NESCAC East). She improved to 8-2 this season

Becker gave up just one earned run after being hurt by three errors behind her. She struck out two and walked one in 6.1 innings of work.

Katherine Stoltenberg, Abigail Ostrom, Katherine Poulos, and Amelia Mostovoy all had two hits to lead Trinity. Caroline Blanchard scored a pair of runs, while Poulos and Ostrom both had two RBI.

Trinity scored one unearned run in the third inning and two more in the fourth thanks to a two-run single by Poulos. After a lone run in the fifth inning, Trinity scored two more runs in the seventh on Ostrom's two-run single.

Barbara Santos had two hits to lead Colby.

Colby (5-11, 0-4) and Trinity will play two games starting at noon on Saturday.
