WATERVILLE, Maine --- Despite a fine outing by Colby College lefty Aimee Polimeno, Trinity College's Katherine Poulos pitched a complete game 2-0 shutout in the opener and the Bantams made it a doubleheader sweep with a 14-2 victory in five innings in the second game in New England Smalll College Athletic Conference play Saturday at Crafts Field.

Poulos and Polimeno had a good duel going in the first game, both going six innings without allowing a run. The Bantams scored two unearned runs after two straight errors opened the top of the seventh inning. After a sacrifice fly by Kerry McCarthy brought in the first run, Trinity scored again on another Mule error.

In the second game, Caroline Blanchard had two hits, two runs scored and three RBI for the Bantams. Claire Prosperi homered among her two hits, scored twice, and had two RBI. Abigail Ostrom added two hits and three runs scored.

Trinity scored two runs in the first, five in the second, a lone run in the third, and then sealed the game with six runs in the fourth.
