Eight earn NESCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship honors

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Eight Colby College student-athletes were named to the 2011 New England Small College Athletic Conference Winter All-Sportsmanship Team on Tuesday.

The Colby athletes honored were: Eric Beaulieu, men's basketball, junior; Karlyn Adler, women's basketball, senior; Dan Nelson, men's hockey, junior; Stephanie Scarpato, women's hockey, senior; Harry Smith, men's squash, junior; Kate Pistel, women's squash, sophomore; Adam Spierer, men's swimming, sophomore; and Jenny Reiner, women's swimming, junior

Smith earned a spot on the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team for the third straight year. Smith and Scarpato were both earned the sportsmanship honors and were All-NESCAC in their respective sports.

The All-Sportsmanship Team was created by the NESCAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Adler was one of two members of the group honored.
