WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College brother-sister duo of Samantha Smith (Locust Valley, N.Y.) and Harry Smith (Locust Valley, N.Y.) each earned New England Small College Athletic Conference Squash All-Conference honors Thursday.

Sophomore Samantha Smith was named to the women’s second team, while first-year Harry Smith was named to the men’s second team.

This was the first time in Colby squash history that the number one players on each team were related in some way. Samantha Smith finished the season with a 15-8 record at the first position for the women. Meanwhile, Harry Smith had the difficult task of playing at the top spot in his first year and came up with a solid 13-10 record.

Samantha Smith spent the entire season at the first position for the second straight season. Harry Smith played the opening two matches of the year at the second spot before earning the top position for the rest of the season.

The Colby men finished the season ranked 19^th nationally, while the women were 23^rd. The Smiths head to the Intercollegiate Singles Championships this Friday to Sunday at Williams College.
