Women's squash goes 4-2 on weekend

Colby (11-6) went 2-1 in matches at Mount Holyoke, taking 5-4 victories over both William Smith College and Hamilton College while losing to the host school by a score of 7-2. The Mules also won two matches at Smith College with wins against Connecticut College (7-2) and Smith (9-0). Colby also dropped a 7-2 match at Amherst College.

Petro had one of the key wins of the weekend with a five-game victory at the second position in the Hamilton match. She easily won the first two games before dropping two straight to even the match. Petro then posted a 9-4 win in the final game.

Colby first position player Samantha Smith and third player Jess Vogel both had five-game wins in the tight match with William Smith. Smith lost the first two games and then won 10-8, 10-8, 9-7 to pull out the clutch victory. Meanwhile, Vogel had to win the final two games by 9-2 and 9-6 scores to earn her win. Smith was 4-2 on the weekend and Vogel went 3-3.

Dziedzic also came up with a pair of wins in the two 5-4 wins. Maddie Dufour went 4-2 for the Mules at the fifth position and Lindsay Snyder went 3-3 at eight.
