WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- Samantha Smith and Harry Smith each went 1-1 in consolation round play for Colby College at the Intercollegiate Singles Squash Championships at Williams College on Saturday.

Samantha Smith, a junior for the Colby women’s team and Harry’s older sister, took a 3-2 win (9-5, 6-9, 9-6, 9-10, 9-7) over Vassar College’s Emilie Kraft. She then fell 3-2 (9-10, 9-3, 9-6, 7-9, 9-2) to Middlebury College’s Sally Hatfield in the next round.

Harry Smith, a first-year player for the Colby men, took an easy 9-2, 9-1, 9-1 victory over Cornell University’s David Hilton and then fell to Naishhadh Lalvani in a tough 3-2 match (1-9, 9-7, 9-1, 2-9, 9-5).

Both Smiths had 1-1 records in Friday’s action.
