MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Colby College senior Kelsey Potdevin (Juneau, Alaska) broke her own school record in a preliminary race earlier in the day and then earned All-America honors by placing eighth in the championship final in the 100-yard backstroke at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at University of Minnesota on Friday night. Potdevin finished with a time of 56.92 in the preliminary race to qualify eighth for the final. She then had a time of 57.27 in the final during the evening session. Potdevin has raced all four years of her Colby career at the NCAA meet. She holds school records in the 50, 100, and 200 backstroke events.
