Sheppard, Reardon make NCAA track and field meet
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Danielle Sheppard (Kittery, Maine) and Brittany Reardon (Scituate, Mass.) will each compete in the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University after the entrants were announced on Sunday. Sheppard, a senior, is tied for sixth out of 22 jumpers with a leap of 5 feet, 7 inches in the high jump. Elizabeth Evans of Rose-Hulman has the top jump of the season at 5-8.5. Reardon is tied for 19th place with six other pole vaulters at 11-7.75. The first year vaulter will compete against 24 other entrants. Linfield's Catherine Street has the best jump of the season at 13-5.5. The women's pole vault will begin at 5 p.m. this Thursday, while the women's high jump is set for a noon start Saturday.
