Volleyball beats Southern Maine in three

GORHAM, Maine --- Jessie Prentice had eight kills, four service aces and 20 defensive digs as the Colby College volleyball team coasted to a 3-0 victory over University of Southern Maine on Wednesday night.

The Mules finish up the regular season with three matches at Wesleyan University this Friday and Saturday. Colby (13-16) plays against Connecticut College at 8 p.m. Friday. The team then meets Wesleyan at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and follows that match with a 4 p.m. start against Trinity College.

Julie Hike added 11 kills and Meredith Lawler had eight in the win against USM. Jenny Lawrence finished with 17 assists and three aces, while Cassie Sancartier had 11 assists, 10 digs and three aces.
