Volleyball finishes tourney at 3-1

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Caitlin Burchill earned all-tournament team honors as the Colby College volleyball team finished 3-1 at the Colby Invitational on Saturday at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

The Mules took a 3-0 win over University of Maine at Farmington and fell 3-1 to Bates College in matches Saturday. Bates won the invitational with a 4-0 record and Olivia Schow was tourney MVP.

Burchill had 18 defensive digs in the loss to Bates. Emily Ten Eck added 21 assists and 20 digs, while Heather Arvidson finished with nine kills and three blocks. Anne Sewall added seven kills and three blocks, Clare Reich had 24 digs, and Emily Varni had 15 digs for Colby.

In the win over Maine-Farmington, Ten Eck had 22 assists and seven blocks. Sewall had nine kills and four blocks, Larissa Levine had six kills, Whitney Greswold had 15 digs in two games, Varni had 10 digs and seven aces, and Reich added 14 digs.
