Women's basketball falls in consolation

Nicholson made the all-tournament team for Colby (0-2). She contributed four points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Katie McCabe shot 6-for-8 from the field and had 17 points, while Tracy Nale added 15 points for the Mules. Bethany Bartley finished with nine points on 4-for-6 shooting and Alison Cappelloni had six points and six rebounds.

Annie Verdino had a game-high 25 points to lead Geneseo State (1-1). Merrissa Wilson added 16 points and five assists for the winners.

Bates College took a 75-64 win over Babson College in the title game.
