Women's cross country third at NESCAC's

NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine --- The Colby College women’s cross country team had a consistent effort with seven runners in the top 47 in taking third place out of 11 teams at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championships at Pineland Farms on Saturday.

Middlebury and Williams tied for first place with a score of 48. Colby was easily in third place with 125, Tufts took fourth with 139, and Amherst had 159 for fifth place.

Cassi Knight placed 17th for the Mules with a time of 22 minutes, 51 seconds. Katrina Gravel took 19th in 22:56 and Emma Linhard was 20th with a 22:59 clocking.

The Mules had four runners between places 40 and 47. Devan FitzPatrick took 40th in 23:53, Nora McCall was a place behind in 41st (23:54), Jennifer MacDowell took 45th in 23:58, and Mandy Ivey was 47th in 24:01.
