WATERVILLE, Maine --- Marissa Simmons scored two goals and Loni Pisani had 40 saves for Colby College, but top-ranked Amherst College scored two goals in each period on the way to a 6-2 victory in women's hockey at Alfond Rink on Friday night. Amherst (12-1-4) scored twice in the opening 4:55 of the game, but Simmons tallied at 10:02 of the first to make it 2-1 after one period. She then scored just 45 seconds into the second period to tie the game, but Amherst quickly countered just 21 seconds later for the game-winning goal.
