WATERVILLE, Maine --- The line of Colette Finley (St. Paul, Minn.), Nicole Crocker (Dover, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Conway (Andover, Mass.) accounted for the last two goals of the game to help the Colby College women's hockey team to a 3-2 win over Williams College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday at Alfond Rink.
With the score tied 1-1 after two periods, Williams (3-5-1, 2-3-1 NESCAC) went ahead at 4:55 of the third period on an unassisted goal by Mallory Green (Toronto, Ontario).
The Mules (3-5-2, 1-3-1) tied the game less than two minutes later at 6:34 when Conway tallied off assists from Finley and Crocker. The three combined for the game-winning goal with 7:52 remaining when Finley scored off assists from Crocker and Conway.
Colby had the lone goal of the first period just 4:19 into play when Becky Julian (South Windsor, Conn.) scored off a pass from Laura Anning (Ingramport, Nova Scotia).
The Ephs tied the game in the second period as Caralyn Quan (Toronto, Ontario) got the goal off a pass from Taya Latham (Edina, Minn.).
Colby goalie Lacey Brown (Freeport, Maine) made 27 saves to earn the victory. Denise McCulloch (Toronto, Ontario) stopped 11 shots for Williams.
