WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Holy Cross scored the final two goals of regulation, including a score with just one second remaining, to take a 5-5 overtime tie with Colby College in non-conference women's hockey at Alfond Rink on Tuesday night.
Stephanie Couzin (Chicago, Ill.) scored the tying goal with one second remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime.
Holy Cross (7-3-1) led 3-1 at one point, but Laura Anning (Ingramport, Nova Scotia) tallied midway through the second period to make it 3-2 after two periods. Anning, who has 51 career points in just her sophomore season, then added two goals and an assist to help the Mules score three straight goals in the first 13:04 of the third period. Becky Julian (South Windsor, Conn.) had the other goal during that streak for the Mules (3-5-3).
Lisa Wilson (Corunna, Ontario) scored with 6:08 left in regulation for Holy Cross to cut Colby's lead to 5-4. Wilson had two goals and one assist in the game.
Colby goalie Lacey Brown (Freeport, Maine) made 32 saves, while Crusader goalie Casey McCullion (Philadelphia, Pa.) stopped 25 shots.
